How do I get the cheapest vacation on Vacations Made Easy?

Unfortunately, Vacations Made Easy is not off to a stellar start with our first category of evaluation. However, before it starts to look like I’m just going to trash this site, I want to note that, save for some other minor complaints, the design of Vacations Made Easy may be the site’s only serious flaw. Okay, now that I have that out of the way, let’s talk about how terrible the Vacations Made Easy site design truly is.

I mean, just take a look at it for yourself. I doubt that I have to go into that much depth for you to understand what I mean. Compare the design of this site to other travel sites that you have used before, such as Expedia or Travelocity. Are you noticing any key differences? These other travel sites make Vacations Made Easy look it was designed by an amateur coder in the year 2000. And, well, seeing as Vacations Made Easy has proudly been around for 21 years, this very well might be the case.

Needless to say, Vacations Made Easy is long overdue for a site makeover. If I were in charge of this website, I would probably just hire a well-respected coder (or team of site designers) to just start with a brand-new site design from scratch. Nothing about Vacations Made Easy is intuitive, user-friendly, or aesthetically pleasing. The bulk of the site is text-based, which, for a travel site doesn’t make a lot of sense to me; why wouldn’t you get potential customers excited to take a trip, for instance, by featuring beautiful photos of some of the destinations or resorts you offer?

What Vacations Made Easy lacks in visuals, though, it more than makes up for in information. From the moment that you land on the site’s homepage, this will become abundantly clear. In

lieu of prominently featuring photos (as most travel sites do), Vacations Made Easy presents a list of what you can do there, what you’ll want to bring, and what to expect. If you don’t care about aesthetics, Vacations Made Easy’s site design may not bother you. However, I still hold that it needs a makeover … badly.

How does Vacations Made Easy work?

Vacations Made Easy is definitely one of the most straightforward and to the point travel sites that I have ever seen. Much like the site’s design, there really isn’t a whole lot to it. And I don’t mean that in a bad way. If you happen to be interested in traveling to one of the site’s prefixed destinations, this can be an excellent vacation packages site. However, if you are looking for a little more control over where you go, where you stay, and how you get there, there may be better sites out there for you.

That being said, Vacations Made Easy offers vacation packages to 22 locations (at least as of the time of this review). Although they advertise global destinations, this is, in fact, not the case. Every available destination at the moment is within the United States. I don’t know if this is due to COVID restrictions, but it feels noteworthy anyway. From there, you just have to pick your destination, customize your lodging and activities, and you are good to go!

The other major downside to this site is the fact that Vacations Made Easy does not offer flight booking services. So, unfortunately, you will have to find cheap flights on your own. A lot of the best vacation packages sites, though, do offer flights as well. So, perhaps Vacations Made Easy should consider changing their name to Vacations Made Somewhat Easy.

On a more positive note, Vacations Made Easy does have a decent cancellation policy. You can cancel your vacation at any time, up to 48 hours before your vacation’s start date. You aren’t going to get your money refunded to your bank account or anything, but you can enjoy a 100% future travel credit with Vacations Made Easy – and that’s not so bad if you ask me.

Do Vacations Made Easy have an APP?

There is no mobile app available at the moment for Vacations Made Easy. This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise after seeing the site’s web design. I am sorry to say, though, that the site’s mobile design is no better either. In fact, it is much worse than the desktop browser site experience. It works, I guess, if you really need to use this site on your phone, but it won’t be easy. I would like to formally invite Vacations Made Easy to embrace the 21^st century and update their site on all fronts. An app, of course, wouldn’t hurt either.
